Overview

Climate change is increasing the frequency and severity of disasters, disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities. RISE Foundation integrates Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) into development programming to reduce vulnerability and strengthen resilience.

Community-Centered Resilience

Our approach places communities at the center of resilience-building. By understanding exposure, sensitivity, and vulnerability, we design mitigation and adaptation measures that have the greatest positive impact for low-income and at-risk populations.

Our Approach

DRR and climate adaptation are embedded across our programmes. We focus on anticipating risks, addressing vulnerabilities, and strengthening community capacity to cope with both sudden shocks and long-term environmental stresses.

Interventions include risk assessments, climate-resilient livelihood strategies, adaptation of development practices, and community preparedness initiatives.
