Protection is central to RISE Foundation’s humanitarian and development work, ensuring that vulnerable populations are safe, respected, and supported during crises and recovery.
RISE Foundation, we envision a society where every woman, girl, man, boy, and person of diverse backgrounds can live free from violence, discrimination, and fear. We recognize Gender-Based Violence (GBV) as both a profound human rights violation and a major obstacle to achieving gender equality, social justice, and sustainable development. Addressing GBV is integral to our mission of building resilient, inclusive, and empowered communities across Pakistan.
Our approach is rooted in prevention, protection, empowerment, and partnership. We work with women, girls, adolescents, men, boys, families, and communities to prevent violence by challenging harmful gender norms, promoting positive social and behavioral change, and fostering respectful, equitable relationships. Through evidence-based awareness campaigns, community dialogues, school and youth engagement, and capacity-building initiatives, we encourage collective responsibility for preventing all forms of Gender-Based Violence.
RISE Foundation is committed to strengthening community-based protection systems by equipping frontline workers, educators, health professionals, community leaders, and local institutions with the knowledge and skills to identify, prevent, and respond to GBV in a survivor-centered, ethical, and inclusive manner. We facilitate access to psychosocial support, safe referral pathways, and community-based services that uphold the dignity, confidentiality, and rights of survivors while promoting safeguarding and accountability across all our programmes.
Recognizing that GBV is closely linked to inequality, poverty, exclusion, harmful practices, and limited opportunities, we integrate gender equality and protection principles across our work in education, health, youth development, women’s economic empowerment, child protection, disability inclusion, climate resilience, and humanitarian action. We are particularly committed to empowering adolescent girls and women through leadership development, life skills, economic opportunities, and meaningful participation in decisions that shape their lives and communities.
We believe that sustainable change can only be achieved through collaboration. By working alongside communities, government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and the private sector, RISE Foundation is contributing to a future where every individual lives with dignity, safety, equality, and the opportunity to realize their full potential. Together, we are not only responding to Gender-Based Violence we are transforming the systems, attitudes, and social norms that allow it to persist.
Survivors of conflict and disasters face heightened risks of psychological distress and mental health challenges. RISE Foundation prioritizes mental health and psychosocial support in humanitarian settings.
Our interventions address immediate psychosocial needs while also strengthening longer-term mental health care systems and contributing to policy development to ensure sustained support for affected populations.
