Food insecurity and limited livelihood opportunities are among the key drivers of poverty and vulnerability. RISE Foundation works to improve access to food, strengthen livelihoods, and enhance household resilience, particularly in agrarian and disaster-affected communities.
Our food security programmes improve the availability, access, and utilization of food through interventions tailored to community needs. Activities include agricultural input support through voucher schemes, livestock distribution, veterinary services, establishment of nurseries and seed banks, and promotion of kitchen gardening.
Training in integrated crop management, livestock management, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture supports improved productivity and dietary diversity.
Daily wage laborers and landless households participate in cash-for-work and food-for-work activities such as irrigation rehabilitation and road improvement. These initiatives provide immediate income while strengthening community infrastructure.
Households headed by women or persons with disabilities receive cash grants to establish small enterprises, including tailoring and small retail businesses, contributing to income generation and local economic development.
RISE Foundation works with women in marginalized communities to build skills, confidence, and access to markets. Women are supported in developing handicrafts and marketable products and linked to urban and high-end markets, strengthening income opportunities and decision-making power within households and communities.
We provide certified vocational training in skilled trades such as masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and carpentry, particularly for widows, orphans, women with disabilities, and disaster-affected populations, enabling sustainable income generation.
