Overview

Nutrition and health are foundational to human development. Malnutrition and preventable diseases continue to place a heavy burden on children, women, and vulnerable populations, limiting their ability to survive, learn, and thrive.

RISE Foundation adopts a holistic approach that focuses on both prevention and treatment, strengthening systems at national, provincial, and community levels, particularly in hard-to-reach and underserved areas.

Health Services Support

RISE Foundation supports local health authorities to strengthen primary and secondary healthcare services, including referral systems from rural and remote communities. Our interventions focus on making healthcare accessible, affordable, and responsive to the needs of women, children, and marginalized groups.

Key interventions include antenatal and postnatal care, skilled birth attendance, emergency obstetric and newborn care, immunization services, growth monitoring, early childhood development, and community-based management of common childhood illnesses.

Our Approach

Our nutrition programmes prioritize adolescents, pregnant and lactating women, children under two, and children under five. Prevention strategies focus on promoting optimal feeding practices, dietary diversity, and maternal nutrition, while curative strategies address acute malnutrition through community-based interventions.

Social and behavior change communication underpins all nutrition interventions, supporting informed decision-making at household and community levels. Nutrition programming is closely linked with food security and livelihood initiatives to improve access to diverse, nutrient-rich foods.
